Taking finasteride 1mg from last 7 months but still losing hair, what should I do?

A:  In clinical trials, 90% of men respond to finasteride but there is a small percentage that does not. However it does take time and often, we recommend committing to finasteride for a 1-2 years before determining how effective it is for you.  Adding treatments to your routine such as PRP, laser therapy, or minoxidil may help as well.  In fact, there was a study that proved the combination of minoxidil and finasteride work better together than either one alone. I suggest seeing a hair loss expert now to evaluate and go over your condition and provide you information about your best treatment options. There are great non-invasive options like prp/progesterone and/or hair transplantation. See an expert. 

Finesteride will not always cause hair regrowth; but almost always usually decreases further hair loss.
