I am 19 y.o and my hairline is between norwood 2 and 3 with no thinning at the vertex. My father also has norwood 3 pattern ever since i have known him. He is currently 50. He had norwood 3 like pattern in his 30s top but idk when his hairloss began. Members in my extended family on paternal side also show similar pattern. My maternal grandfather had good thick hair till his 50s. Am i likely to end up with norwood 3 or am i likely to progress further? I was 15 in 1 pic. The other is current pic
Answer: Norwood Hello, You are on Norwood 2-2a on the current picture. Hairline can continue receding. You are a good candidate for hairtransplant if the hairline bothers you.

Answer: Hair loss There are many reasons that lead to hair loss besides genetics. If your hair line/hair loss is bothersome to you I encourage you to meet with an expert for an analysis and to learn about options. You can consider PRP, topical medications, and hair transplant. One transplant option is SmartGraft. This uses the FUE approach giving final results in as little as nine months. Patients report that it is relatively painless and it requires no linear scar. You can learn more by clicking on the link to my website.

Answer: Norwood Prediction Hello! Dr. George here from LA FUE Hair Clinic in Pasadena, CA. Currently, it appears you are a Norwood 2, but given your age, your hairloss will likely progress. The final outcome is dependent on numerous factors, including, but not limited to overall health, diet, stress, any medical issues you may be experiencing including hormonal abnormalities, recreational tobacco, drug and alcohol use, but the primary factor is always going to be your genetics. If you have hair loss in other members of your family that ranges up to a Norwood 6 or 7 then you have a higher likelihood of progressing further on the Norwood classification scale. If the majority of your family members have hairloss that progress only up to a Norwood 3 or 4, then you are likely to stabilize there! Though this is not a guarantee, as genetics can be unpredictable. The most important thing you can do is consider your nonsurgical options to maintain your existing hair, including options such as Minoxidil, Finasteride, PRP injections, as well as Stem Cell/Exosome therapy. Maintaining your native hairs is just as, if not more important than having a hair transplant to fix the areas of your concern. A hair transplant does not cure hair loss, it fixes the areas of your concern. Since hair loss is a progressive disorder, maintaining your native hairs will be very important even if you do consider restoration one day! I hope this helps!

Answer: Hair Loss Prediction Dear Gentle12943, To predict if your hair loss will continue or not, is not only depended to your genetics. There are many factors affecting your hair loss. Such as unhealthy diets, lack of vitamins, stress, excess amount of cigarette consumption etc. If you are happy with your current look of your hairline, I would not advice a hair transplant in this stage . You can start using medications and apply non surgical treatments to strength your hair such as PRP, Mesotherapy, Minoxidil or Finasteride. Moreover If your hair loss will continue and if hair transplant will be needed in future you would have a thick and strong donor area. So to summarize starting non surgical treatments and medications for your hair loss will provide you; 1) Strong hair follicles and slow down your hair loss and protect your hairs 2) A strong donor area if a hair transplant in future will be needed. Best regards,MD, Guzide Bayrak / MCAN Hair Transplant Clinic

Answer: Answer Hair loss is unpredictable, cause it could be linked to genetic, lack of vitamins, and change in the metabolism or external environment. All that you have to do is to start taking precautions by using vitamins and hair care products rich in Biotin. Also, PRP injection helps with hair restoration and regrowth. and maybe in a later plan, you can get a hair transplant to get your new hairline and more density up the front
