How much bone absorption do infraorbital implants cause, and do smaller ones cause less?

Through lots of research I learned proper chin implants cause about 2 mm of absorption due to the tissue adjusting to the pressure of the implant. What Id like to know is do infraorbital implants cause the same amount? And is the amount of absorption dependent on the size of the implant and skin tightness?

Many doctors say that chin implants cause some degree of resorption of the bone, depending upon the hardness of the implant. Firmer implants erode more, in other words.  However, the net result is a good improvement overall.  I've never heard of cheek implants causing erosion (and I do a lot of those).  In fact, sometimes we remove them (perhaps to change the size) even years later and the bone looks pristine.  
I often place cheek implants right in the office with just local anesthesia. Takes less than 30 minutes.

Unlike the implant settling seen in the chin due to the tight soft tissue chin pad where considerable pressure exists, infraorbital implants do not experience the same changes. They do not have a tight muscular cover and any implants settling/bone settling is very minimal.
