Indent along nose bridge, do I need a revision? (Photos)

It is generally recommended to wait until at least one year has passed and the recovery process is complete to assess the final results and consider a revision procedure. If you’re still unsatisfied with your rhinoplasty results at this time, a revision can be performed to raise the indention, most likely with cartilage grafting.
Keep in mind that each subsequent nose surgery becomes more complex due to the loss of structural support and scar tissue. The importance of experience, expertise, and artistry cannot be overstated. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to oversee your recovery process and help you decide on the best way to achieve your aesthetic goals.

Thank you for your question. Based on the photos, it appears that you have what we surgeons call an inverted V deformity. This can happen after rhinoplasty is the middle section of the nose becomes too narrow. Many patients also note resistance breathing through their nose. The best way to address this would be by placing cartilage grafts, which would require a small revision unfortunately. While this may improve with additional time, I think it is unlikely. Good Morning! It is possible that over the next 6 months the imperfections will improve. But, with your thin skin, it could stay the same or become more visible. If a revision is needed, the grafts can be adjusted and camouflage grafts can be placed. Excellent camouflage material would be temporalis fascia or perichondrium from the rib. This "thickens" the skin and decreases the likelihood of imperfections showing-through in the future. I would discuss your concerns again with your surgeon or seek consultation with another if you need a second opinion. Hope this helps!
