. .some people have circle scars around the areola ,,some have gigantic football looking grafts..some just look like they have had a reduction with one vertical scar.. does it depend on the kind of mastectomy scar from the previous surgeon or is it size dependent? If a woman has already undergone tissue expansion can a tissue flap be placed underneath to avoid the horrid football look and reduce the size of implant required for fullness? how is this attached for blood supply?

Hello,It is common to still have a feeling of tightness along the abdomen following DIEP flap reconstruction for up to 1 year. I would advise following up with your plastic surgeon for an evaluation if you have any additional concerns.
