I'm not happy with my skin. I have scars, huge pores, a lot of texture (especially under my eyes) and blackheads. I'm 28 years old. Current skincare: - tactupump forte (adapalene & BP) - cetaphyl face wash - la Roche posay moisturizer for sensitive skin - black head strips Any treatments or products that would help with my problems?

Answer: Skin rejuvenation You will have the best results from a combination of treatments. The best place to begin is a visit to a med spa to meet with an experienced aesthetician. After an evaluation of your skin a treatment regimen can be recommended with medical grade skin care products like Transform MD. We always recommend using sunscreen every day. In addition you can consider Morpheus8 treatments to improve overall skin tone and texture.

Answer: Texture Improvement Hi there! You know, we are always our own worst critic.. when you look at your picture, you see enlarged pores, scars, and blackheads, but I see so many naturally beautiful features! There are some really great treatments out there to address your concerns but I recommend starting with telling yourself that you’re beautiful everyday when you look in the mirror - even if you don’t believe it at first. It could be a powerful mindset change so that when you do receive treatment, it will help you to fully appreciate your transformation :) For things like scars, they are found in the deep layers of the skin, so they won’t go away without slightly invasive treatments. You can probably find a provider in your area who can offer a Halo laser - you may need 1-2 of these treatments. This will get you the fastest results and it is usually easy to find someone who has the device for it. For skincare (after you’re fully healed), you’ll want to be on products that remove that top layer of dead skin and keep your skin smooth. My personal favorite is from a medical grade skincare brand called Jan Marini. You can see an aesthetician who can give you specific recommendations or if it want to keep it simple, you can purchase the Jan Marini Skincare Management System. Wishing you so much good luck on your self-care journey! Diyanah Bani Hani, MD
