Hi! I am 21 and have for a long time wondered which surgeries would benefit me most. My issues seem to be: - smile lines/marionette lines - short nose bridge (Long distance between tip of nose and upper lip) - "Butt" chin - somewhat of a masculine face (would prefer a more v lined jaw) - lines under eyes - thin lips - a lot of extra skin/fat in the face Is there anything that can be done to these problems?
Answer: Facial Slimming — Masseter Botox, Facetite/Renuvion J Plasma, Buccal Fat Pad Removal, Fillers to sculpt the Cheek/Jawline/Chin This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined Always use at home derma rolling (see link to Emerageskin x anteageMD roller plus stem cells/hyaluronic acid ampules) and peels like emeragecosmetics enlighten or aerify that can be used to improve skin quality and tighten the skin while improving wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and Melasma. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: How dermal fillers may benefit you Thank you for your question. If you have not had injectable treatments, they are safe and effective non-surgical treatments to address many of your identified problems. Dermal fillers can target nasolabial folds, thin lips, chin augmentation, and the jawline for a symmetrical and contoured look. Combining fillers like Juvederm and Restylane is effective and provides long-lasting results. It is critical to work with an experienced, qualified injector to create a custom plan that yields natural results.

Answer: How can I improve the appearance of my face Hello, my short answer is you don’t need a thing. I wouldn’t touch your face with absolutely anything right now. Your skin is smooth you have a very nice complexion and your features are great. I highly recommend against fillers contrary to the previous doctor’s answer. As you age and some features concern you, you can address them at at that point.

Answer: Fillers Work Well For Nonsurgical Facial Contouring Instead of thinking aggressive, invasive and expensive surgery that also entails significant downtime, you may wish to investigate the use of fillers for a nonsurgical facial contouring. For example, a robust HA filler placed appropriately in the upper cheek regions would not only create a more heart-shaped, feminine face, but would likely secondarily improve the under eye tear troughs and smile lines visible particularly in the three-quarter views. The use of a robust filler in the chin would help to decrease the "butt chin" visible in front view, but also better feminize the chin & harmonize its projection with that of those of the lips and nasal tip seen in profile view. The use of a less robust, cohesive filler injected along the vermilion border of the upper lip would not only add a more sensual upward flip to the lip, but would help to diminish somewhat the long appearance of the philtrum. Finally, a small amount of filler can be added to the nasal tip to increase its projection. In the hands of an experienced injector, all this can be accomplished in about a half hour treatment session with immediate results that typically elicit a "Wow!" response. Be sure to consult a board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.

Answer: Fillers can change the look of a face that is already great Firstly, I think that you already have a great face. I do see some of the things that bother you and if you were my patient would agree with working on a few of them for what I would label as enhancement. You can have some filler put above chin and maybe even in chin to change the way your chin sits and elongate it at same time. If you want a shaper jawline you could use filler there. From the looks of a couple of photos I would put a little filler in your cheeks but I would want to see you in person before committing to that. Leave your nose alone . You have full beautiful lips and when you get filler in chin area your lower lip might look a little different .
