I have hyperpigmentation on one of my smile lines and it makes me super insecure. Would dermafiller help remove the pigmentation and make it less noticeable. When I stretch my skin the pigment isn’t super noticeable. If not, what helps with this type of pigmentation on smiles lines? Thanks

​Hyperpigmentation of any kind needs a combination approach of peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (EmerageSkin roller with anteage AERIFY MD ampules weekly,; lasers like Clear + Brilliant, Aerolase or Laser Genesis; radiofrequency like Venus Viva; and constant skin care and sun protection. Bimonthly facials with SilkPeel DermalInfusion are essential to hydrate, exfoliate and infuse vitamins and antioxidants into the skin. If you have acne you can do additional treatments and peels to get more improvement. Hypopigmentation will need more of an evaluation and possibly additional lasers to get improvement. Unfortunately, close-up photos of the area would have been more helpful. However, if you say that stretching the skin does lighten the area, then an appropriate HA filler injected into the proper depth of the skin might help to camouflage the darkness that disturbs you. You would be wise to make certain you consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist who is an experienced injector. Best of luck.
