Will Implanon Arm Implant Cause Problems During Surgery For A Breast Augmentation?

I see no reason why you should have any increased difficulty with the breast surgery after having this implant placed in your arm. Be sure to inform the surgeon that you see that you recently had the procedure done.

There is an increased risk of blood clots in the legs following surgery, even elective surgery like breast augmentation, for women using estrogen containing drugs.  There is very little data to indicate how much of an increased risk exists specifically related to Implanon and other factors can add to the risk.Since Implanon use is elective as well, it may be better to delay the procedure until after your elective surgery in the fall and use an alternative form of birth control.  At the very least, it would be a good idea to discuss it with your plastic surgeon.  Best of luck.
