Is it possible to get veneers to correct a bite? None of my teeth touch when I bite down besides the left central incisor. I had braces and my teeth are pretty straight. When I got my braces removed my bite was ok, all my teeth touched and aligned together properly. I did have my top 2nd molars worked on for cavities. After that is when I noticed my bite being off. I’m not sure if my jaw moved due to not having teeth being how they were or because the dentist shaved the teeth down too short.

Answer: Veneers, Porcelain Veneers, Tooth Contouring, Revision, Dentist, Braces, Bite Adjustment Thank you for your question. Veneers cannot correct posterior open bite, but could be used to correct an anterior open bite. It sounds like the fillings were made too short and the teeth lost contact. But also, have you been wearing your orthodontic retainers? If not, your teeth may have shifted. It sounds like you need an in-person exam. Please return to your dentist and orthodontist to identify the specific problems. Best of luck! Dr. Laurence Rifkin DDS #celebritydentist #beverlyhillsdentist

Answer: Bite Problem The 1st thing that should be evaluated is why your bite is off. There are various factors that come into play in terms of your bite that need to be looked at. To get your teeth fitting back together may be a relatively simple process, but until you're looked at, it's hard to say. Veneers, per se, is not typically indicated to correct a bite that way you describe.
