Best teeth cleaning I've ever had, and a gorgeous office, too. Dr. Rifkin and his staff were super friendly, they made me feel completely comfortable and they were extremely knowledgeable. I just went in for my first check up, I'm going back for a teeth whitening next. They were very gentle during my cleaning, even though it had been a while, it didn't feel like it at all. The hygienist went out of her way to educate me and even showed me diagrams of teeth and gave me a lot of information that I didn't know about the formation of plaque. She showed me better self care and flossing techniques, and made me aware of areas in my mouth that I should be focusing on when brushing. I really appreciate her taking time for patient education, and I won't be going to any other dentist. This is it!
Excellent question and I understand your concerns. First of all, if it's only 2 days you may have swelling from bruising and not from the hyaluronic acid. I would wait two weeks to see the final results and then reevaluate. If after that you still don't like the results then it can be removed with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Results and disappearance rates may vary. Please see a qualified injector to perform this treatment. Best of luck! Dr. Laurence Rifkin DDS #beverlyhillsdentist #cosmeticdentist
Thank you for sharing your photo, and I appreciate your question. My immediate response is to say- no extractions. The best treatment that I can recommend without seeing you in person is for orthodontic correction of your crowded teeth and bite. This, and perhaps teeth whitening may be enough to give you a really pretty smile. Please see your dentist and an orthodontist to evaluate your treatment options. Best of luck! Thank you for your question. Veneers cannot correct posterior open bite, but could be used to correct an anterior open bite. It sounds like the fillings were made too short and the teeth lost contact. But also, have you been wearing your orthodontic retainers? If not, your teeth may have shifted. It sounds like you need an in-person exam. Please return to your dentist and orthodontist to identify the specific problems. Best of luck! Wow! Lots of questions. One in-office treatment may not be enough for your particular stains, and oftentimes the teeth color comes back after a couple days, partly. What is causing the stains on your teeth? Because some stains cannot be removed by teeth whitening alone, such as tetracycline staining. You can try white strips but they only cover the front six to eight teeth. The best home method is with custom trays made by a dentist. These trays will cover all the surfaces of the teeth front and back, and could also be used to apply fluoride gels which will help prevent cavities and sensitive teeth. Oftentimes I provide the patient with a combination treatment to ensure optimal and lasting results. Please see your dentist for an in-person exam. Best of luck! Great question. With proper local anesthesia and sedation techniques, dental implants should never be painful. Also, the surgeon that places the implants should always be treating the area gently and with good follow up care. Oftentimes, it's not what you do, it's how you do it. We always hear about the bad experiences, which many times are avoidable. Pick your surgeon carefully, and get multiple opinions when you can. Best of luck!
