There is a higher chance of bruising with taking any NSAID's (motrin, Advil, alive, aspirin, etc.). If you and your surgeon are okay with the possible outcome, then I shouldn't be a problem.
I would say you might bruise very slightly more than otherwise, but overall it would not be a reason to have to reschedule your procedure. Having said that, it is really something to discuss with your surgeon.
Ibuprophen takes at least 48 hours to dissipate. Ask your doctor how he feels about the timing. You may bruise more but, I have done facelift procedures at 48 hours without problems
Understand that not only does aspirin-containing medications, but also non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen can cause increased bleeding, and therefore causing more swelling, discomfort and prolonged healing time after SmartLipo. It is best to wait at least 7-10 days after taking ibuprofen. Hopefully, you are also aware that there is a host of "natural supplements" that can also be detrimental to your healing process. Be sure to consult your doctor, who hopefully will provide you with a list of contraindicated over-the-counter as well as prescription drugs, foods and drinks that should be avoided prior to the Smartlipo procedure.
