I have an overrotated tip that makes my nose appear short. I’m considering whether ‘fillers to raise the bridge / change the shape of the tip’ or a surgical nose job would be lower risk.

Hi and thanks for your question!  Blindness is unfortunately a risk when it comes to facial fillers but the risk is exceedingly low.  If that is enough to remove fillers as an option then yes surgical rhinoplasty does not carry that risk.  It does carry other risks however that should be discussed with your surgeon.  Things like implant infections (if implants are used), risk of revisions or more surgery, bleeding related infections are risks with surgery.  I usually recommend that patients think more on the pros and cons of having something done nonsurgically but have to do it multiple times versus have a bigger surgery with it being permanent.  Good luck!

Hello, and thanks for your question. There is definitely a risk of complications with filler injections in the nose and peri-nasal region. Although photos would be helpful, from your written description, it sounds like a surgical rhinoplasty would be the best way for you to safely achieve your goals. Seek out an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon, who can examine you, listen to your concerns, and advise you on how best to address them.
