Hyperpigmentation After a 'Perfect Peel' on Indian Skin?

I had two dark spots left from acne. The derm suggested the Perfect Peel. I had never had a peel before. Less than a minute after the solution was applied (after alcohol), the aesthetist noticed a 'white-mask' and she wiped it off with water. I started burning. I have dark brown splocthes of various colours all over my face. It looks like a burn, but it didn't blister or flake. Will this heal and specifically what timeframe can I expect?

It sounds like you may have hyper or hypopigmentation from your chemical peel. When getting a peel (especially for the first time) it is best to have your aesthetician do a test spot on an inconspicuous area.

	You will most likely need to get a bleaching agent such as hydroquinone. One of the most important things , make sure you  wear sunscreen and keep your face out of the sun as much as possible. Your skin is trying to heal itself and you can cause further discoloration and permanent damage if you have prolonged exposure to the sun.

	Talk with your aesthetician about the Cosmelan peel, this peel works great for all skin types and works well for correcting skin discoloration.

If you have developed a hyperpigmentation after a chemical peel then you will need to be treated with a skin bleaching agent such as hydroquinone and kojic acid. Individuals with darker pigmentation are more likely to develop excessive pigmentation following a peel especially if it is a dermal peel.
