Estrogen levels in men and PRP for hair loss?

Estrogen levels considered without other levels does not offer a great deal of information.The research performed and the anecdotal evidence would suggest that thickness of hair and density can improve with PRP injections.  The number of sessions as well as the quality of PRP obtained will vary considerably physician to physician.

In my opinion this is a complicated issue.  The ratio of estrogen to testosterone is important.  The  levels of SBHG also affect hair loss. Many normal young men have relatively  increased estrogen levels.  The sensitivity of The receptors in the scalp  vary from person to person and are based on  inheritance. PRP  increases the levels of growth factors available to the hair follicle.  It does not affect  the alpha reductase enzyme.  It may be helpful to add finasteride to your PRP.PRPHAIRMD.COM 

Estrogen should not cause hair loss in men. Dihydrotestasterone, (DHT) a metabolite of Testosterone is the main culprit . If you have elevated estrogen it may mean your testosterone is being converted to estrogen which can be blocked by the use of aromatase inhibitors like chrysin, anastrozole. Thank you for your question. The principal cause of hair loss in men is DHT, a derivative of Testosterone. You can decrease your levels of PRP by adding a medication such as finasteride. In this case, estrogen levels will need to be monitored as testosterone that is converted to DHT may go through another pathway to raise your estrogen levels which may require the addition of anastrozole to decrease this conversion.
