I decided to try home chemical peel gel to lighten my acne scar. I just wonder what kind of skincare ingredient routine can I use after the peel. My skincare routine at the moment is toner (Thebodyshop Tea Tree Toner) - essence (SKII Treatment Essence) - serum (Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiant Serum) - lotion (Origins Mega Mushroom Soothing Treatment Lotion) - Moisturizer (Water Gel)
Answer: Recommend using Elevase moisture booster with options-masks and melarase creams. Our office has many different treatments for scars depending on the depth of atrophy or hypertrophy. Scars require a combination approach using our HI DEF protocol which uses a combination of lasers, topical scar modulation, and RF treatments to pixelate scars, improve contour, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve the visibility of the scars so that they are no longer visible in ambient light. Everyone has a unique pattern of scarring and we employ our HIDEF technique to improve texture, color, contour, and topography. We often use a combination of treatments that begin with a careful examination to examine the micro texturing of the acne scars. Atrophic scars and indented scars can benefit from injectable fillers such as Radiesse, Sculptra, and Restylane with or without subcision to remove tethered scars and atrophic depression. Hyper-redness in scars can be improved with V beam laser, Excel V, BBL, IPL, and Venus RF to improve the redness and reduce the visibility of deep scars. Fractional Thulium laser and clear & brilliant can also reduce the inflammation and redness of the scar when combined with topical therapy. Fractional lasers such as Fraxel, erbium, and CO2 laser can be combined with radio frequency and also fractional RF to improve textual issues and microtopography. Subcision and TCA cross are also used for deep ice pick scars and narrow valley scars in order to improve the micro texture. Above all, our combination approach with our clinical nurses and board-certified plastic surgeons can improve the quality of your skin by using at home Melarase creams combined with PRP treatments in our office to improve your skin quality and tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced team of experts in order to reduce your scarring. Finally, hyperpigmentation of scars can be improved with at-home Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads to help reduce active PIH and melanin deposition. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Skincare routine: Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant and ingredient to help brighten up skin’s complexion. This product has also been tested to be proven safe to use after a chemical peel treatment. Vitamin C should be applied in the morning as it helps to deliver advanced environmental protection by neutralizing damaging free radicals. Formulated with a synergistic antioxidant combination of 15% pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), 1% vitamin E (alpha tocopherol), and 0.5% ferulic acid, we recommend SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic. This vitamin C serum improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, loss of firmness, and brightens skin’s complexion. Follow with a broad spectrum sunscreen that combines 100% mineral filters, zinc oxide and titanium oxide, like our SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion. Hope this is helpful.

Answer: What kind of skin care routine would you recommend after chemical peel? Hello Miharuaikimoto2212,The skin is the largest organ in the body. It is also one that shows many of the first signs of aging. Proper care for the skin is very important. Unfortunately, there is not a one size fits all approach to skin care that works for everyone. Factors such as skin type (light skin, dark skin), skin texture, oily or dry skin, sun damaged skin, etc., can affect what regimen you should be on. When it comes to chemical peels, there are many different superficial peels you can do at home. Depending on the one used and how it was applied can affect what skin care you should be on and how soon you can initiate that skin care. I would recommend you consult with a facial plastic surgeon or dermatologist to help create a skin care regimen for you (and also discuss acne scar treatments). I hope this helps and good luck.
