I sometimes shave my head but don't want to damage any grafts. Is it okay to exfoliate the scalp? Thanks.
Answer: Exfoliate Removing the dead skin on the outer surface technically should not harm the grafts after several years from the transplant. They should be totally healed by now and there is no difference between the grafted hair and the native hair.

Answer: Is it okay to exfoliate the scalp after a hair transplant? I had a FUT transplant in 2006. 12 years after a transplant, you are no more likely to damage your grafts than you are to damage your native hair follicles, either with exfoliation or shaving.
