Question

Few months ago noticed hair thinning (3 months prior was very stressed) I’ve been Norwood 2 for 8 years but never noticed thinning before. Thinning is diffuse worse on my front side and side burns where it looks the most thin. Back also thinning/shedding a bit but not near the extent of top or sides. Lateral half of eyebrows are also thinner. I’m on synthyroid and ft4 was at 2.07 with upper limit of normal at 1.7. Hoping to get some insight into what you guys think my hair loss process is.

One really needs to see the scalp up close here. You certainly don’t have a typical picture of DUPA and some of the changes may be hair cut related. Be sure to see an expert for an up close examination and full review of your story.

With thyroid problems complicating your story, it is hard to tell you what is happening without having a full battery of tests in hand inc luding a good examination of your scalp with a hand microscope
