I recently started taking Finasteride and was wondering whether I can also take creatine with it?

Will the creatine cause the finasteride to be less effective? If so will a lower dose of creatine say 3 to 5 grams a day still hinder it’s effectiveness?

Creatine will not negatively impact the results of Finasteride. I suggest seeing a hair loss expert now to evaluate and go over your condition and provide you information about your best treatment options. There are great non-invasive options like prp/progesterone and/or hair transplantation. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

There should be no problem using both of these together.  I do recommend whey protein shake (special formulation for hair loss) to my patients who work out to help block androgen uptake in the scalp.  This has been very helpful for most of patients, many who have now been faithful to the program for years.

There is no good evidence that finasteride will be hindered by use of creatine supplementation in men.

Taking finasteride and taking anything with a steroid is self defeating. If you know for sure that the Creatine has not steroids in with it, then it is ok
