Hi Hot Lips,One syringe of Juvederm is more than enough to fill both your upper and lower lips, you should not look like a reality TV freak! Any injector willing to inject more is not looking out for your best interests, rather they are looking to pad their pocketbooks, stay away! Less in definitely more in your case. Most importantly, as with any facial aesthetic treatment be sure to take the time to choose your treating physician most carefully based on their experience, skill, and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.Michael Persky, MDEncino,CA
Thank you for your question! For your first time I would start with 1 syringe. You can always add more. Best of luck! Dr Dhaval PatelDouble Board CertifiedPlastic SurgeonChicagoHoffman Estates Oak Brook
One syringe would probably be enough to plump up your lips. If you inject too much, the results will look abnormal. If it's your first time, as well, you'll want to be a little conservative so you can see how it looks.
This is a matter of personal taste. Some patients do require twosyringes in order to achieve the augmentation they desire. Try with one syringeand if you would still like more plump, you can always go back and get moreinjected. Schedule an in-person consultation with a board certified plasticsurgeon to get the most accurate recommendation.
You have very nice lips. Personally, I would not inject more than one syringe of Juvederm or Restylane in your lips as that should be more than enough to give you the "pouty" more plump look that you desire. More is not better when it comes to cosmetic procedures! Be sure your physician is an experienced "core" injector (facial plastic surgeon, plastic surgeon, dermatologist, or occuloplastic surgeon). This is because we all have a keen understanding of facial anatomy and the effects of injecting fillers in different regions of the face. I wish you well!
Based on your photos, I would think one syringe would be enough. Your lips are already quite full. In my practice, two syringes for your lips would be too much.
Hello, and thank you for the question. In general, One syringe of Juvederm is adequate for the lips. A conservative approach is best when performing lip augmentation with filler. I would recommend a consult with a board certified plastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon, or dermatologist. Each is a fantastic choice. I hope this information helps, and I wish you the best of luck.
One syringe of Juvederm will likely be enough to achieve your goal of plump lips. To obtain an exact amount schedule a consultation with an experienced injector. There are various lip fillers available - in the consultation the injector will inform you of the different available products specific to your needs.
Two syringes of Juvederm (or any filler) in your lips would be FAR too much. By your picture you have fairly full lips naturally. Honestly one syringe would be more than enough. The lips are an area where too much is too much. Research your injector. Ask to see before and after pictures.
Thanks for your question. Looking at your pictures alone, depending on the look you are going for, I think 1 syringe of Juvederm would be plenty to plump your lips up nicely. For the lips it is best to start very conservatively as they do tend to pull a lot of fluid into them and there is swelling involved. Doing 2 syringes at once will look unnatural and overdone. The good thing is, if you want more after the 1 syringe then more can always be added later. For a more accurate assessment you should schedule an in-person evaluation with someone who is experienced at doing lip injections.
Each injector will have different protocols for post treatment care. Many injectors will advice the acceptability of having your lip waxed if you are not experienced any post treatment complications such as bruising, swelling, or cold sores. Consult with your injector as he or she understands...
Without seeing photos or you in person, it sounds as though you are describing the Tyndall Effect. The Tyndall effect occurs when light strikes filler that is too superficially placed through the skin. It is easily corrected with hyaluronidase, which can be injected to dissolve the filler...
It will be in your best interest to have the dental work done first and then the Juvederm injections to follow. Juvederm and other filler products can mold when pressure is applied to injected area. If you have the injection afterward you will not be risking any unwanted changes to the product.
Thank you for your question and photo. It is too early to determine your final result as it takes up to 2 weeks for any swelling, lumps and bruising to resolve. You can ice your lips to help resolve swelling and take Arnica to help resolve bruising faster. If you are unhappy with your final...
I do hope you had Juvederm Ultra, which is perfect for lips, and not Juvederm Ultra Plus or Juvederm Voluma. Using Juvederm or Beletero and injecting small amounts deeply in multiple areas generally prevents lumpiness. If you still have this problem in a week, please visit your injector....
After lip injections it is likely to feel the effects of the lidocaine (freezing) in the product. Lidocaine is only temporary and should subside within a few hours after treatment. If you are within a few weeks after the injection, swelling may still be an issue creating some asymmetry when...
