I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair July 2020. 6 months later I had to have emergency gallbladder surgery. All my other scars healed properly except for the one above my belly button due to me developing cellulitis. . I have a skin colored keloid that is vertical above my belly button. It’s not very big maybe 2 inches in length. But I have another small one at the top inner part of my belly button from the first surgery. I’m just wondering if there’s anyway to fix without another tt.
Answer: Injection therapy combined with lasers can help reduce appearance Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Answer: Keloid Dear lala008, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Answer: Skin colored keloid above TT belly button Hello ! There are several options for treating keloid scars, including non-surgical and surgical approaches. Non-surgical treatments include corticosteroid injections, silicone gel or sheets, and cryotherapy. These treatments can help reduce the size and thickness of the keloid, and improve the appearance of the scar. However, they may not completely eliminate the keloid and may require multiple treatments over time. Surgical options include scar revision, which involves removing the keloid and re-closing the incision, or a laser resurfacing procedure to help smooth out the scar. These procedures are more invasive and may require a longer recovery time, but can provide more significant improvements in the appearance of the scar. It's important to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate your individual case and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan for your keloid scars. They can discuss the benefits and risks of each option and help you determine the best course of action for achieving your desired results. It's possible that a surgical approach may be recommended to achieve the best possible outcome, but your surgeon will be able to advise you on the most suitable treatment plan for your individual needs. I hope this helps, best of luck !

Answer: Scar Revision If you have had a tummy tuck, it is unlikely that you have enough excess skin to have another tummy tuck and get rid of the scar above your belly button. You can have a scar revision to pinch of the scar and replace it with a vertical scar.
