What would a revision involve to fix my asymmetry? (Photos)

Hello Doctors, I am 6 months post of from UTM augmentation. I really like my results (although in insight I wish I had gone smaller) and have had a smooth recovery. There is some asymmetry that is definitely partially due to my pre-existent asymmetry, where my left fold sat higher than my right one. I believe this got accentuated by the augmentation, and I cannot pinpoint if my right implant is slightly bottomed out or if it’s just following my anatomy. The implant line is almost one inch under the incision. The big question: to reach symmetry, would it be better to lower my left pocket to match the right (I would be ok with that look) or would it be better to try the internal bra + other options to raise my right pocket? I wonder if you were preoperatively offered to choose between round vs anatomical implants? Your skinny frame makes almost required the use of teardrop or anatomical implants, round ones look very artificial in patients with scarce subcutaneous tissue and thin skin.

Your asymmetry was pre-existent and is non treatable, it sources from skeletal asymmetry and also the nipples are not in the same horizontal axis location. I only perceive a technical difference, one implant is a tad too high, easy correction then.

Attention, the horizontal width of the prostheses slightly exceed the available room in your chest, you almost develop symmastia, should you reoperate the width has to be reduced and a prophylactic capsulorraphy applied at the midline end of both pockets.

Breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery.
Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size.
While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.
If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
