Is 50% TCA on soles and palms viable?

I watched a professional do a 30% tca peel on her arms and the results were minimal. I understand that 50% is a high concentration, but for a person with naturally thickened/hard foot soles and hand palms, it seems viable. What is the likelihood of burns? It's worth noting that this issue has been since childhood and there's not an ointment, cream or lotion thats ever been able to soften my hands or feet for more than 10 minutes. It almost seems like mild hyperkeratosis. Rubbing my hands together literally makes an audible sound.
