Acne scar from an old pimple - what could help this? (Photos)

This is an acne scar on my stomach from an old cyst. I’ve had it for two years. It doesn’t hurt but it’s rock hard and hyperpigmented. Black in color. Will a chemical peel smooth the damaged skin out ? And maybe dissolve the scar tissue ? What could help me ?
