Botox in pectoralis major/minor for tight muscles, would that be a possible solution?

I have insanely tight muscles in my pecs that make it difficult to keep my shoulders back and genuinely pull my whole body inward. Would Botox in this area be a possible solution?

Dear njb2020:Yes, this is one option based on a proper history and physical examination by a Board Certified Specialist. A Physiatrist (Rehabilitation Physician) is probably best suited to offer that consultation. They know about proper dosing for large muscle contractures such as torticollis and cerebral palsy leg contractures. I would expect that Botox alone will not offer you the best results as there are other muscles, joint contractures, posture and skeletal considerations. All the best!

Botox has been used in many conditions related to deep chest muscles. The pectoralis minor can be injected alone or in combination of other muscles for particular conditions. It has been used, with mixed success, in elevation of saggy breasts, thoracic outlet syndrome, pain related to increased tension of the pectoralis minor and others. If a deep injection is needed the safest method is to use ultrasound guidance. Good luck!
