Im fine to wait few weeks np. My wedding is in 4 months and honeymoon in 5 months (where I'll be scuba diving and snorkeling )and I live in Hawaii where I often snorkel. Worried that the mask will cause unwanted deformity or permanent indentations? My appt is in 3 days and now I'm having second thoughts really scared. Please advise

Answer: Can snorkeling/scuba diving mask affect fillers? I would recommend waiting 2 weeks after your fillers before wearing a snorkeling or scuba diving mask. In my opinion, there should not be any adverse effects on your fillers after this time.

Answer: Snorkeling/Scuba goggles would be preferred over the small swim goggles. Hi, Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Fillers around the eyes can potentially be shifted with direct pressure. Between swim goggles which tightly wrap around the eyes versus the wider scuba/snorkeling gogglew which go more on the forehead and under the nose compressing the mid-cheek shouldn't cause any shifting of the filler around the eyes. Since your injector has a plan to where exactly they plan to inject, you inform your injector of your concerns to determine if it is better to wait until after the honeymoon or try to do it before the wedding. There shouldn't be any risk of permanent indentations since the filler can be dissolved away if needed, to return the face back to its original hollowing. Hope this answer provided some value. Good Luck. Best, Dr. Yang
