I really hate my receding hairline/high forehead? (Photo)

Question

My only concern is hair loss and scaring . Will my scar be hard to hide? Is scar healing the same on African Americans as other races. My hair is fairly thin is this procedure better for people with fuller hair?

Forehead reduction surgery or hair grafting transplant can both lower your hairline.  It would be in your interest to meet with a doctor to discuss your options as well as the risks.

The hairline can be lowered and the forehead reduced with hair transplants or a procedure called the Irregular Trichophytic Hairline Lowering procedure that we described many years ago. With approach the incision is hidden with hairs that grow through and in front of the hairline. Thin hair is not a problem. Although scarring can be a problem for African American patients I've never seen this at the hairline.

how do you decide between hairline lowering of hair transplant lowering procedures?  The distance you have to move it down may be a clue. If the distance exceeds one inch,then a hair transplant lowering might be better. You and your surgeon should take that decision. Fine hair generally means that it might take two hair transplant lowering procedures if you go with this approach.
