How will a dentist fix a broken composite bonded tooth?

I got a composite bond on my tooth around 1 week ago. On the back of my tooth, it has cracked and chipped making it quite uncomfortable. How will my dentist be able to fix this??

Sorry about your condition...Bondings on lower front teeth on the biting edge is "iffy" at best since the material used is not quite as resistant to wear as porcelain..It would just add to your problems to bond and have them wear away or fracture sooner than later...Need more info like photos,...

I have gum recession and my dentist suggested bonding the areas that are most severe. How long does does bonding last?

First you need to find out why there is a recession, to get to root cause of problem, it can be bone loss, bite and occlusion, and many other factors..... Once the recession is diagnosed, it can be treated via gum grafting, to eliminate sensitivity, or better yet you can use pinhole...

In my opinion, you should not be waiting for the bite to become normalized on its own but rather you should return to your dentist for another bite adjustment of the recent composite filling.
