Why can't I exercise or shower after Qwo?

Question

I would like more information on after care, like can I go for a light run? Why can't you workout right after qwo injections? Can I use an inferred sauna right after qwo injections, and if not why? Can I dry brush right after qwo injections, and if not why? Why are you not supposed to shower for 24hrs? There needs to be more after care instructions for incredibly active individuals and more information on why its not ok to run or workout for 48hrs or shower for 24?

Courageous , Qwo main ingredient is Collagenase which is an enzyme that dissolves collagen.  The recommendation against exercise after Qwo are to prevent the enzyme from going where it is not intended.  I hope this helps . Wishing you the best of health, Dr Wright.

Thank you for your question!  We ask our patients to refrain from working out 24-48 hours after a Qwo treatment to allow the product to take effect in the areas that were injected.  Bruising is also a common side effect of Qwo, making working out uncomfortable for some patients.  Too much movement could result in a decreased result as the product can spread-out.  This reasoning also applies to dry brushing, it's too much movement.  In regards to inferred sauna, the temperature could cause the product to lose efficacy resulting in a unsatisfactory outcome.  It is best to follow the instructions given by your injector for maximum results.  Best of luck to you!

You should talk with your injector prior to receiving treatments to discuss your post-procedure restrictions. People may have different opinions on what is OK or not OK to do following Qwo injections.
