13 Weeks post op: at rest, or slight movement of face, one band and loose skin is strongly visible and with movement several seem to show up. There’s still irregularities throughout that area. There is some firm, slightly tender tissue at the top of the band. My ps says to wait till the 6 months mark. But I can’t see this going to improve. Any hope?? Thank you

Answer: Neck lift Thank you for your question and photos. I also agree with your plastic surgeon, waiting until you are 6 months post operative is best before any further intervention is considered. Your neck does show improvement after surgery. The presence of irregularities and firmness can be normal at 3 months after surgery and should get better with more time. I recommend monitoring the area and following up with your plastic surgeon. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Answer: Failed platysmaplasty/necklift your neck is clearly better. There is no failure here....... unfortunately skin stretches and the platysma bands can recur as any plastic surgeon will attest. Sometimes a revision makes a difference and sometimes not, it depends on your own individual tissues, age sun exposure eye color etc. botox in the bands is a good idea which couldn't hurt talk to your surgeon
