I don't have any bite problems so I'm really hoping to skip orthognathic surgery, unless the combination of a genioplasty and implant is ill-advised for any significant reason. My chin is about 26-28mm recessed. I think as long as I can hit a full 20mm of anterior advancement I'll be happy with the result, but any less may be disappointing. I saw a case where a 14mm genioplasty was followed by a 5mm chin implant. Is it possible to exceed that? What determines the limitations of this approach?
