6 years ago I got a breast reduction. After surgery I immediately noticed that my areola were too high and on my left breast I lost a bit of my areola due to necrosis. Since then I've been way to nervous and scared to get another surgery to try and fix them because I don't want the same thing to happen and my breast to look even worse. I've gotten a few consultations for a lift to try and correct the areola placement and to cut out the necrotic piece of areola. Is this my best option?

Hello Tealdove02,
Thank you for your question about choosing between a breast lift and a breast reduction. It's great to hear that you're content with the shape of your breasts and are primarily looking for a solution that allows for more comfort during activities like exercise.
To clarify,...
You primary option if insurance will not cover the procedure is to have it done as a cosmetic procedure which would be an out of pocket cost. There are several companies that offer financing to make this a feasible option for patient ( Carecredit, Alpheon, PatientFi, Cherry)
It looks like you have mild ptosis so it would be a subtle lift, a real finesse case. Nonetheless, it can be done with lifting and reshaping and with no implant. Make sure you review photos so you can make sure your expectations will be met. Thank you.
