I recently had smart lipo to my arms, waist/flanks, and bra back. I used to have a unique butt shape and I was told by my surgeon my butt would be unaffected but he took fat from my lower back to give me a curve that I specifically said I didn’t want and now my butt looks weird and like I did a BBL. How can I regain my natural shape? Or regain weight to those areas? Will exercise help? Lower back and flanks
Answer: Postop lipo issues Photos not really helpful. Best to seek in person or virtual consult with…I think only revision lipo with bbl revision can effectively offer nicer results.

Answer: Concerns about Liposuction results To make an assessment on the outcome of a procedure we always need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures then I suggest you contact your surgeon and ask them to forward the ones they took. We can’t really give any recommendations without seeing the change that was made and that requires seeing what you look like before and after with proper before and after pictures. The only way to significantly change your fat distribution is going to be surgery. Answer: This may improve with time most minor irregularities will improve over the course of one year after smartlipo. I must say that i do not see anything too wrong in your photos especially with your clothes on. where you have your circle placed, it does look like an abrupt transition. It may be easier to appreciate the "deformity" in real life than in a photo. If you have waited a full year and it has not smoothed out and still appears rather abrupt, it should be possible to do a small amount of smartlipo to take down the ridge over your buttock and that should fix it. The trick is just to do a small amount so as not to create additional problems. sincerely david berman md, frcsc

Answer: Unnatural buttock shape after recent SMART lipo Hi and welcome to our forum! from your photos, I note a degree of fullness of the lower flanks and hips (from what I can visualize from your clothed photo). The photo of the exposed buttocks was taken with you resting on your side which distorts the buttock shape. It is extremely important to know how long it has been since your "recent" surgery as postoperative swelling will initially totally obscure the operative result. Healing is a dynamic process which takes at least a year to reach completion. At that point the swelling will have subsided. If a year has passed since your procedure, you may be a candidate for a revision. 15% of cosmetic surgeries require a secondary touch up. Revisit your plastic surgeon for advice. Best wishes...
