Is it ok to change the laser machine after doing some treatments? (Photo)

Question

I've had 15 treatments for full face with Alex machine. I feel the treatment is not successful as i still have to go once every 40days. the hair has definitely gone thinner but the parts without no hair is hairy now. I also had 7 treatments for my bikini. I initially had a great result but it seems it's back to what it was before. Please advice me

If you're not seeing the results you hope to see from one type of laser, I encourage you to try a different technology and/or a different certified laser technician. A multi-wavelength device like the Candela GentleLASE® Pro could give you better results.

Thank you for your question. It is possible for some hair to re grow due to hormonal changes in the body. Its possible the settings need adjusting to continue to have results. It is ok to switch to a different laser if that's what you choose to do.

There are many variables involved in determining level of expected reduction in laser hair removal treatments and the device to be used. 
  
These include;
  
hair type
  
hair color
  
skin color
  
hormonal changes
  
oral and topical medications
  
It is possible that adjustments had to be made to your settings so keep the laser hair removal safe and effective.  There are many reasons that could be the cause of your lack of results beyond the device.  Yes the device may not be the best for your skin color and hair quality and would warrant "changing" devices.  it could also be the lack of training and experience of the provider/practice.  It cold also be that your hair is too light for it to work and they did not know to tell you that when they should.  I would make sure you are going to a practice with experts (physician and provider) in laser hair removal, if not i would seek another opinion.  
Remember, it is important to go back to the technician / physician who originally did your treatments to make sure your are on the right path to achieve your desired outcome.  Hope that helps.
