Would you remove prominent lymph nodes in axillary both sides, esp when pathology states acute inflammatory reaction? (Photos)

Question

Both PIP extra-capsular and removed with caps. Prominent silicone lymph nodes left in both sides and around ribs when pathology states acute inflammation. Can you see the silicone in my rib cage area in the MRI scans? And what would you do with it as it feels stuck and I’m still no better. Also would you remove prominent silicone lymph nodes? I also would like to know what all that stuff is in my collar bone area and armpits please. Thanks.

Hi,palpable lymph nodes in the axilla or armpit are often the first sign of extracapsular implant rupture. They have a characteristic appearance on US and don't require needle biopsy. My normal protocol is to only offer sampling of lymph nodes if they are large or problematic.
There is no evidence of long term damage to your health and attempting removal of all affected nodes increase the risk of developing problems such as lymphedema or swelling of the arm.
