I’m 21 years old and I have two neck creases/lines. it almost looks swollen. I first noticed when I was in middle school and thought it was a spider bite at first but it never went away. I have always been very insecure about it since no one my age has this problem. Any ideas on what caused it or how to fix it?
Answer: Neck creases These neck lines may be genetic in nature. They can be exacerbated when we continually are looking down at our phone, etc. We recommend caring for your skin using medical grade products like Transform MD and wearing sunscreen every day.

Answer: This can be addressed by doing Morpheus8. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Neck Lines / Tech Neck / Neck Wrinkles -- Soft Fillers (Belotero) in combination w/ Lasers and Microneedling/PRP "Injecting soft fillers like Belotero in this area can reduce lines, wrinkles and folds as well as improve skin texture with long-term collagen production. Fillers are being used more frequently to contour and lift rather than solely line fill. Of course, fillers are best used in combination with lasers and microneedling with PRP to get the optimal outcome. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to create an individualized treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer"

Answer: Please see a dermatologist! Can be a number of things and might need to be lab tested If you noticed this back in middle school and it's never improved; or if it's only slowly gotten worse. Please see a dermatologist as soon as possible. If it was a spider bite it would not have lasted years; the average time for a spider-bite to fully heal would be a 7-10 days - if that. The cause can help be identified once you're able to identify what's truly causing the "swollen" look. I wish you good luck and the sooner you get it checked the sooner it will be a memory of your past, please do not continue to wait.
