The TCA CROSS Technique is a quick and relatively inexpensive approach to dealing with enlarged facial pores and ice pick (pit) scars. Optimal results are usually achieved following two to four treatment sessions spaced at six week intervals. Should there remain any surface color or textural irregularities following the TCA CROSS, subsequent microneedling may be helpful for blending any residual surface color or textural irregularities. Maintain a very healthy skepticism when it comes to relatively expensive laser treatments, especially since a prominent laser expert herself at her presentation at the most recent American Society For Dermatologic Surgery conference in New Orleans noted, "microneedling is already replacing fractionated lasers..." and in regard to "enlarged facial pores, in lieu of ablative and nonablaive fractionated lasers..."
