Will Accutane work if I have lots of junk food?

I’m on accutane and I eat a lot of junk food like chocolate chips fast food. Does that effect the results. Is accutane still gonna work?

Thank you for your question, Accutane will work regardless of the choices of food you have. It is recommended to take the medication with food that is fatty in order to promote higher absorption. Talk to your specialist to make sure that you have the appropriate dose and complete the full course as it will be most effective.

Hello and thank you for your question. Isotretinoin or "Accutane" medication is best absorbed with a fatty meal. And the effectiveness depends on taking the full course of medication, determined by your weight. In general, I would recommend a healthy diet and exercise, to avoid any adverse effects from the medication. I also recommend that you follow up with your board certified dermatologist for evaluation of your skin and discussion of appropriate treatment. Best of luck.
