How many grafts do you think would be okay to cover my crown and give volume and density? (Photos)

Question

Front is thick and dense and has not shown any signs of loss in the 7 years or so I've had my crown thinning more and more. It has isolated itself strictly to my crown and very, very minimal thinning in mid scalp. I am currently on Minoxidil and Fin for the past 3 months, and has shown improvement in growing hair, when i started i did not have any of the miniature white hairs you see in one of the photos now my crown is basically covered in them.

Yes, you can have hair transplant. You will need around 5500-6000 grafts to achieve full coverage on the crown. Only the back of the head will not be enough for donor with 1 session, if you have body hair such as beard and chest, those can be used as alternative donor areas. If you do not have body hair you will need 2 sessions.

You need a formal evaluation to see what type of hair loss you may have. when you have hairless its best to do a full hormonal workup for internal optimization plus scalp biopsies or scrapings to rule out any stress related, inflammatory, autoimmune or infectious causes of hair loss. In general most people with early hair loss have telogen (stress related) and/or androgenetic (normal aging) and both can be treated with in office treatments like steroid injections, PRP/acell, Exosomes and at home treatments like oral medications, oral vitamins like Viviscal, topical exfoliating sprays like Restorsea, and weekly growth factors like anteagemd. I can't see your frontal line but you stated that you had no hair loss issue in front area. So to cover up the crown area 3250-3500 grafts will be fine.
