Will pushing the maxilla backwards as in the case of jaw surgery for bimaxillary protrusion widen the alar width. i have a narrow and somewhat turned nose already and i quite i like it and don't wish to alter it at all ,how will the surgery impact my nose?

Hello! LeFort I surgery can change the shape of the nose. Most of the time, it is seen at the tip area as the septum can be disrupted and needs reattachment. I would say the changes overall are mild in many instances. The ala may change depending on the degree of change needed in the maxilla. It will be important to ensure that the nasal septum is well-handled during the procedure so the nose doesn't lose its support and shape over time.
