White build up post first hair wash after hair transplant. 4 days post op. (photo)

Today being the fourth day, I have shampooed my transplanted hair as directed. I see this white sludge sort of build up around the transplanted area ( photo attached). Also the sludge has trickled down to the non transplanted hair after rinsing. Is this normal or have I not washed properly? Help please!

It may take six to twelve months after your surgery to appreciate the results.  Eight weeks is too early to judge.

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.  You should not be picking or pulling on your scabs.

You should see your surgeon right away. Without any pictures its very difficult to tell what exactly is going on. Severe dead skin across the scalp is not a normal side effect of hair transplantation that we see. Some minor dry skin is normal from time-to-time, but your case sounds more severe....
