Hi, despite looking after my skin and using, cleansers, moisturising toners, tretinoin and moisturiser. Aswell as microneedling and red light therapy, my skin still looks terrible. What am i doing wrong? What would help? I hardly ever wear make up. Thanks
Answer: A resurfacing laser with a Melapeel can help improve skin's appearance. Begin to use Melacleanse and Melapads once daily. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Healthy skin In order to achieve healthy balanced skin you have to use the right combination of products and treatments. I recommend beginning by visiting a board certified plastic surgeon or experienced aesthetician for an evaluation. A skin care regimen can be personalized for you that included medical grade products, like Transform MD. Appropriate treatments can also be recommended along with the right order and time between treatments.

Answer: Achieving Healthier Skin: Expert Tips and Solutions when Skincare Routines Fall Short Thank you for your question. It sounds like you are dedicated to your skincare routine but not achieving the desired results. Here are some suggestions that might help: Consultation with a Dermatologist: A professional evaluation can help identify underlying issues that may not be addressed by your current routine. Conditions like hormonal imbalances, allergies, or specific skin disorders might require targeted treatments. Review of Current Products: Sometimes, the combination of products or specific ingredients might not be suitable for your skin type. A dermatologist can help you tailor a regimen that suits your specific needs, ensuring that active ingredients like tretinoin are used correctly. Patch Testing: If irritation or sensitivity is part of the issue, consider patch testing new products to identify potential allergens or irritants. Hydration and Nutrition: Ensure you are staying hydrated and maintaining a balanced diet, rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that support skin health. Lifestyle Factors: Stress, lack of sleep, and environmental factors can significantly impact skin appearance. Incorporating stress-reducing activities and ensuring adequate rest can be beneficial. Professional Treatments: In-office treatments such as chemical peels, laser therapy, or advanced facials might provide more intensive rejuvenation and address deeper skin issues. Consistency and Patience: Skincare results can take time, especially with treatments like tretinoin. Ensure you are using products consistently and give them time to work. Avoid Over-Exfoliation: Microneedling and tretinoin both promote cell turnover. Be cautious of over-exfoliating, which can lead to irritation and compromise the skin barrier. A personalized approach, guided by a professional, will likely yield the best results.
