I recommend scheduling a follow-up appointment with your provider who can provide a formal assessment. Thank you for the question. Brown staining after sclerotherapy treatment can be improved with picosure laser treatment. You might need more than one session. I recommend 4 weeks between sessions. Melasma is due to the melanocytes and responds great to at least 3 sessions of Picosure. the brown staining that occurs after sclerotherapy is due to hemoglobin staining and i think will be much more difficult to improve with any treatment. I am not sure that the Picosure will be effective in this situation. You definitely need to plan at least 3 sessions, spaced a month apart before making the decision if it is helpful. If you don't have any improvement after 3 sessions, then i would not continue it.david berman md
