After calcified Seroma was removed surgically in Dec18 it’s come back. Had 2ml syringed and now go back in June for a review. Ps said looks like I’ll always have this harden lump there. Anyone have any solutions? It feels very restrictive and uncomfortable. Is there anyone of removing it for good? Or any treatment that can flatten it out?

Thank you for your question. Seromas do occur following a tummy tuck. If it has been removed following surgery, a drain may have to be placed. If it is hard, this is due to fluid accumulation in the soft tissue that has to be resolved. Heat and massage will help with the hardness. Liposuction can also help remove residual fat and improve it. Please talk with your doctor about possible treatments.

Great question. I am sorry for your post op difficulties.  Despite regular draining, you next option may be to surgically remove it again.  Scar tissue may need to be removed, tissues sutured together to obliterate the cavity and closed over a new drain.  Continue to follow up with your PS for treatment.
