I have bad scarring and bumps on my bikini area. How can I get rid of them? (Photo)

I started shaving when I was 13 but my skin is really bad. I got infected ingrown hairs and bumps everywhere! Years later, I still have those bumps and scars from the ingrown hairs! How can I get rid of them?

Scar formation may be genetic and may be influenced by the way you naturally heal. It is quite common to have scars recur after surgery, necessitating a combination of laser therapy, Kenalog injections, and scar modulation.  Scars can be quite frustrating. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles

Chicken pox scars require a combination of treatments to get improvement including subcision, filler, and lasers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Angela.  If the injury occurred less than one year ago, you should wait and allow all swelling to resolve and the scar mature.  At that time final assessment of your treatment needs can be done. It may include scar revision with or without fat transfer. Be sure to consult with a board c...

I would use a combination of fractional co2 laser and fractional RF to reduce the bumps on the nose. PRP has no role here. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles
