I wanted a new tattoo for more than a decade. finally found a design i fell in love with and had a long time to see and get used to it so it was carefully chosen. However, now it doesn't fell like me and I'm not sure if I can get used do it. It's a huge very . black dense Tattoo. What is the best option for removal? I guss my skin will never be anymore as it was... is the best option some sort of cover up? I though about Picosure or Pico Genesis Enlighten....

Answer: Best Option for Tattoo Removal
Jason Emer, MDDermatologic Surgeon, Board Certified in Dermatology
You need to wait until your skin has healed before doing another laser tattoo-removal session. A board-certified dermatologist would not try to treat you again five days later.
The lasers we use, such as PicoWay, are quite powerful and effective. However, laser tattoo removal is a slow process....
Tattoos should be removed with q switched or pico lasers. We use pfd patches to speed up the process, but it will take a series of treatments. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a laser tattoo removal expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi!
swelling, redness and mild discomfort is expected after laser tattoo removal and will persist for several days. rarely, there could even be blister formation.
