Hi all. I'm 27 and have a few fine lines (11s) and horizontal ones aswell right between the eyes that bother me. The horizontal ones come from the procerus dragging down when I frown I believe. On the example picture I marked where all the lines are. Would 3 injections be possible here to really treat the whole area (2 into the high up going 11s and one right into These horizontal lines?) I marked the three injection points in red. Also how many units would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

Answer: 3 Botox injections possible into procerus muscle or not? Hello, your diagram is good but a self photo would’ve helped. However having said that I would recommend you start with three injections into the proverus areas as recommended. The total I would recommend would be 12 units or .1 mL times three.

The area in question can certainly be treated with Botox, but the actual number of injection points and the number of units is entirely a case-by-case situation. I would recommend consultation with an experienced injector and let them examine your face in both rest and movement (animation). Someone that is familiar with the safety and anatomy of the area will be able to make recommendations that will give you the best results and ensure your goals are communicated clearly so you can be satisfied. Without an exam of your muscles and their resultant action it is impossible to make any specific recommendations. Besides, you should not be trying to figure out what you need. Instead, you should be researching injectors and the results they get. Does that person know the anatomy of the area exceptionally well and, instead of injecting into specific areas, instead injects the specific muscles using micro-droplet technique. By doing so, you can get 100% resolution of the offending muscles and get longer lasting results.
