Are these red dots a problem for a hair transplant? (Photo)

Question

A dermatologist I met said they are not dangerous and I can remove them with laser. If I do a hair transplant without removing those dots first - will that be a problem? And how much time I will have to wait after the transplant if I want to remove them later? If I want to remove those dots now (before doing a hair transplant), how much time I'll have to wait aftet the removal so I can have the transplant?

In general, small red dots on the scalp such as tiny blood vessel spots are usually harmless, and their presence does not prevent a hair transplant. Your dermatologist's opinion that they are not dangerous is reassuring, though I would want to see them to be sure what they are.
If they are in the recipient area, the surgeon can place grafts around them, but grafts cannot be placed on top of the lesions. If they are bothersome, it is usually better to treat them before surgery so the skin has time to heal. Laser treatment often needs a few weeks of healing, so I would plan to wait around four to six weeks before the procedure.
If you decide to treat them after the transplant instead, I would wait until the grafts have grown in and settled, typically 9 to 12 months, because laser energy near fresh grafts can cause damage.
The best step is to show the spots to your hair transplant surgeon before you decide, so they can confirm they are benign and plan the order of treatment.

It would be best to have the visible spots removed before the hair transplant, a period of 2–3 weeks is sufficient for this minor procedure, after which you can easily proceed with the transplant.

If the dermatologist confirmed these red spots were not dangerous than a hair transplant could be performed without any negative effect on the results. If hair transplant is performed first it would be safer to wait 3-4 weeks before having spots removed with laser. If spots are removed first a hair transplant could be performed when all scabbing has cleared which would likely would take 2 weeks.

If you do a hair transplant without removing those red dots first  that will  not be a problem at all.  Your  surgeon  may  extract  those  during  hair  transplant  surgery  .
