Question

I am 9weeks post Rhinoplasty I had closed Rhino to remove a bump.The bump has been removed apart from that it doesnt look much different I had surgery abroad in Prague so dont speak with surgeon now when my cast was removed my nose did look smaller& nicer then it does now & then swelled up terrible after cast removal & hasnt seem to be going down much since. I have attached photos to see what u think. Also I feel it looks wonky but dont know if due to swelling

Thank you for your question. At 9 weeks post surgery, there is likely to be some swelling which can take 6 months or even upto a year to settle.  The final shape of the nose will become apparent then.

With Rhinoplasty, the name of the game is patience. At one week, we would expect you to have quite a bit of swelling and bruising still noticeable. By the end of two weeks, typically, you will still be swollen but look more like you have a bad cold, rather than post surgical. Swelling can take up to a year to be completely gone, however, by 9 weeks you will look very good and should see big difference from your pre-op pics. I encourage you to stay patient because from what I can see this is to be expected.

Typically, the initial swelling after nose surgery subsides within two to three weeks.  However, residual swelling, especially in the tip of the nose, can take about a year to resolve.Try and be patient during the healing process before you make a final assessment of your nose.
