Can an at home whitening kit with LED light harm my permanent retainer?

I recently got a at home whitening kit that came with a small LED light to help the whitening process. I have a permanent retainer and I was wondering if the light would harm my retainer or the glue. Thanks!

I would suggest asking your dentist that provided you the light and kit. Most dentists wouldn't recommend a treatment that will harm any of the work in your mouth. If you bought this of the internet I can't give you any opinion as I have never seen a dentist dispensed that had  an LED light.
